Honor Magic 8 Pro in Malaysia to get MagicOS 10 soon, other models to follow

By Raymond Saw January 12, 2026

Honor has announced that it has begun the phased rollout of its MagicOS 10 update for Malaysian users starting January 2026. The update will be made available in stages to compatible Honor smartphones throughout the year. For now, the HONOR Magic 8 Pro is the first device to receive MagicOS 10.

Based on Android 16, Honor says that MagicOS 10 will introduce a refreshed interface with “transparent visual elements” that aim to improve usability while reducing power consumption. In case that seems familiar to you, that does seem somewhat similar to Apple’s Liquid Glass doesn’t it?

Honor also claims overall system performance improvements, along with better power efficiency. Mobile gamers using Honor smartphones meanwhile can look forward to MagicOS 10 allowing games to remain active and connected even when the screen is turned off to save battery while maintaining background activity.

MagicOS 10 also adds new AI-powered photography features. Magic Pose provides real-time pose suggestions to help users look more natural in photos, while Magic Color lets users apply cinematic-style colour grading to images with a single tap.

Cross-platform file sharing is improved with the new OneTap feature, which enables quick file transfers between Honor smartphones and Apple iPhones.

On the security side, MagicOS 10 includes an enhanced AI Deepfake Detection feature that can now scan multiple faces during live video calls to identify digitally altered images. The update also introduces real-time call translation, allowing users to receive live translations during phone calls.

The MagicOS 10 update will roll out to eligible devices in phases throughout 2026. Users who need assistance with the update can visit any Honor Experience Store near you.
