HONOR Magic5 Pro vs HONOR Magic6 Pro: What’s different?
The first obvious difference is that despite both versions coming in a single 12GB RAM and 512GB storage configuration, this year’s Magic6 Pro launches at a slightly more expensive price tag compared to the Magic5 Pro.
What you’ll be getting in return with that extra RM200 are upgrades across the board. The Magic6 Pro will fittingly utilize the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, a direct upgrade from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 on the Magic5 Pro, which at that time was the top-line processor of 2023.
The new NanoCrystal Shield on the Magic6 Pro’s display are also worth the mention. Its received SGS’s Five Star Overall Glass Drop Resistance Ability certification, promising a sturdier layer of protection that was missing on the Magic5 Pro. Additionally, displays on the Magic6 Pro are a great deal brighter at 5,000nits versus the 1,800nits peak brightness on the Magic5 Pro.
One big upgrade on this year’s HONOR flagship is the switch up from a 50MP to a 180MP periscope telephoto lens. Front cameras also receive a megapixel bump from 12MP to now 50MP. Other than that, everything else is largely the same.
There’s also improvements in the battery department with the Magic6 Pro now packing 5,600mAh, with support for 80W wired and 66W wireless charging.
And finally, the Magic6 Pro now gets a vegan leather version for its Epi Green design. It also comes in a non-vegan leather Black version.
