HONOR Magic5 Pro Specs
We’ve talked about the HONOR Magic5 and Magic5 Pro in this article, as well as the Magic Vs.
To recap, HONOR piled on some much-welcomed upgrades to the Magic5 Pro’s camera with the addition of AI Motion Sensing technology, as well as improved Falcon Camera algorithm that optimizes focus and shutter speed.
Alongside these upgrades is a 50MP main camera with 1/1.12-inch sensor and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). This is flanked by a 50MP ultra wide camera and a 50MP Periscope Telescope camera, also fitted with OIS. At the front, you’ll get a 12MP ultra wide camera and a 3D Depth Camera for facial recognition.
Not long after its launch, the Magic5 Pro ranked #1 on DXOMARK’s camera test, with some of its highlights being ‘fast and accurate autofocus’, ‘excellent zoom performances,’ and ‘accurate colours.’
The Magic5 Pro also comes with a host of eye protection features, one of them being the Circadian Night Display which adjusts colour temperature that supposedly reduces impact on sleep.
For its display, you’ll have a 6.81-inch Quad-Curved Floating Screen with adaptive refresh rates from 1-120Hz, and 1800nits peak brightness.
It will utilize the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, and will come with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. You’ll have ample usage time thanks to the 5,000mAh battery and 66W SuperCharge. The Magic5 Pro also supports 50W wireless charging.
Despite introducing 5 colour options at the MWC, HONOR has only made the Meadow Green and Black available in Malaysia.
HONOR Magic5 Specs
The HONOR Magic5 retains much of the key features on the Magic5 Pro. You’ll get the host of camera upgrades including the AI Motion Sensing technology.
Nevertheless, there is a slight difference in camera specs. The Magic5 will have a 54MP wide camera with 1/1.49-inch sensor, unfortunately with no OIS. You will also have a 50MP ultra wide camera and a 32MP Telephoto Camera with OIS. For the front camera, you’ll get a 12MP wide-angle camera.
Like its more premium sibling, the Magic5 will have all the eye protection features HONOR has to offer.
The Magic5 is a little smaller with a 6.73-inch screen, but retains the Quad-Curved Floating Display. It also has 120Hz refresh rate but without the adaptive features. Peak brightness is also slightly lesser at 1,600nits.
You will still get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, as well as the same 5,100mAh battery capacity with 66W Super Charge. However, there is no wireless charging support on the Magic5.
The HONOR Magic5 will come in Glacier Blue and Black.
HONOR Magic Vs Specs
The HONOR Magic Vs is HONOR’s foldable phone offering. It will utilize the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and comes with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
HONOR claims to have made significant breakthrough in its folding mechanisms by reducing the number of components from 92 to just 4.
In its folded form, the Magic Vs sports a 6.45-inch external display. When unfolded, it reveals a 7.9-inch inner screen with a 90% screen-to-body ratio.
You will also get eye protective Circadian Night Display and Dynamic Dimming features found also on the Magic5 and Magic5 Pro.
For its camera, the Magic Vs will main a triple camera system consisting of a 54MP main camera with an IMX800 sensor. You’ll also have a 50MP ultra wide and an 8MP Telephoto camera. At the front, you’ll find a centred pinhole 16MP camera.
