HONOR GT Phone Reportedly in the Works with Groundbreaking 9,000mAh Battery

Less than a day after HONOR hosted the global debut of its Magic8 Series in China, emerging reports have claimed that the brand is working on a new GT Series phone.
The GT Series is HONOR’s relatively new range of performance-driven phones, typically targeted towards gamers. The first-ever HONOR GT debuted in December 2024, followed by the GT Pro in April 2025, with one of its key highlights being its 7,200mAh battery capacity.

The next GT model, however, is set to take capacity even further, with a massive 9,000mAh battery made possible by silicon-carbon (Si/C) technology. Additionally, the phone is rumored to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen-series processor, likely narrowed down to either the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.
HONOR has yet to confirm the slated launch date of the device or reveal any teasers that might suggest the GT phone is just around the corner. The brand is likely focusing its efforts on the recently unveiled Magic8 Series and its regional rollouts.
