HONOR celebrates five years in Malaysia, credits consumers behind its market leadership

HONOR has marked its fifth year in Malaysia by placing the spotlight firmly on the people behind its success, Malaysian consumers. Celebrated at the HONOR of Malaysia 5th Anniversary Gala in Kuala Lumpur, the milestone reflects the brand’s rapid rise from a market entrant to the country’s No.1 smartphone and tablet brand by sell-out market share in Q4 2025.

Rather than positioning its achievement as a purely corporate milestone, HONOR emphasised a consumer-first philosophy that has guided its growth over the past five years.
“Today, it is rewarding to see HONOR become the ‘Pilihan Utama Rakyat Malaysia’. We are deeply grateful to the dedicated community that has stood by us, sharing our products and philosophy with steadfast loyalty,” – Justin Li, President of HONOR South Pacific
He added that the strength of its ecosystem and the reliability of its products were developed through real-world usage and continuous feedback, in close collaboration with local beta users, photographers, and students rather than through laboratory testing alone.

The event also saw the launch of the HONOR of Malaysia Awards Project, a long-term corporate social responsibility initiative aimed at recognising everyday Malaysians making meaningful contributions to society. Three recipients were honoured in the inaugural phase: Mohd Adli Yahya of the Autism Cafe Project, visually impaired educator Cikgu Prakash, and Mak Jah, known for providing affordable and free meals to students.
Looking ahead, HONOR announced a National Photography Tour in support of Visit Malaysia 2026, encouraging mobile photographers to capture local culture and landscapes, with selected works to be showcased globally. As HONOR enters its next chapter, the brand continues to position itself not just as a technology provider, but as an active contributor to Malaysian communities.
