HONOR 50 Series coming soon to Malaysia
HONOR has just released its latest HONOR 50 5G series in China. The HONOR 50 series offers three models to choose from: the HONOR 50 5G, HONOR 50 Pro 5G and HONOR 50 SE 5G.
The overall design and build are stunning. All three models are built with an aluminium frame and glass back. We’re also in love with the colour variants available for the 50 and 50 Pro series.
Perhaps, the only drawback in design is the camera set design that looks like a huge pair of eyes staring at you.
Let’s take a closer look at the specs offered in each of these devices.

Overall, with the HONOR 50 and 50 Pro series powered by the newly launched Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset, you can expect great daily usage and gaming experience that outperforms the popular Snapdragon 765G.
In addition to the powerful chipset, users will also enjoy a sharp and buttery smooth display of 120Hz.
Nevertheless, the key selling point of the device seems to be focused on its impressive 108MP primary camera that is available across all models. In addition, they’ve added the ability to shoot with the selfie and primary camera simultaneously. Users will also be able to seamlessly switch between the front and rear camera while shooting.

Final Thoughts (Updated 20th October 2021)
With the HONOR 50 series priced at RM1,699 – RM1,999, the HONOR 50 finds itself competing directly with popular devices like the Xiaomi 11T and OPPO Reno6 Z.
With the device lacking a stereo speaker, expandable storage, optical image stabilization (OIS) and IP ratings, the HONOR 50 falls slightly short of being the new ‘go-to’ device.
