Haval H6 HEV Enters ASEAN Records with Longest Single-Tank Drive and 1,000km Club Achievement
GWM Malaysia has officially announced that the Haval H6 HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) is now recognized in the ASEAN Records for setting two major milestones under real-world driving conditions; the longest single-tank distance and the most verified owners exceeding 1,000km on a single tank of fuel.
Haval H6 HEV: Most Verified Owners Exceeding 1,000km Per Full Tank
According to the automaker, the Haval H6 HEV is the first hybrid SUV in ASEAN to achieve this feat, cementing its status as a fuel-efficient and reliable vehicle for everyday use. As part of a nationwide fuel endurance challenge, 38 Haval H6 HEV owners successfully surpassed the 1,000km mark, with the longest verified distance reaching an impressive 1,242km on a single tank.
This is the first time a hybrid SUV in ASEAN has achieved such results through genuine, everyday usage. It’s not just a technical achievement—it’s real-world proof of how far the Haval H6 HEV can go for Malaysian drivers.

In celebration of this record-setting moment, GWM Malaysia has introduced a new brand tagline for their record-setting SUV: “Elevate Your Everyday.”
“This new positioning reflects the unique value the H6 HEV brings—longer range, hybrid efficiency, premium comfort, and advanced technology. It’s all about making everyday journeys more capable, more comfortable, and more rewarding,” the company stated.
While we have yet to try the car ourselves, we have seen it in person a few times and I must say that I’m quite impressed by how far GWM has come. After all, you’re basically getting a CR-V-sized SUV for the price of an HR-V, and I like the fact that it comes with a sunroof. Perhaps we’ll get to drive one ourselves soon to see how truly fuel efficient it is. Until then, stay tuned.
