Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro powered by Google Tensor
Google finally releases official information about its all new Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. Although there isn’t an official launch date, it is announced that the devices will be launching in fall of 2021.
Unfortunately, the Pixel 6 series will not be available in Malaysia. Google has confirmed the availability of the two phones in eight countries: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Taiwan, the UK, and the US.
Processor
Perhaps the most exciting news about the Pixel 6 series is the all new Google Tensor processor that will be used to power both devices.
The rumors surrounding a Google-made ‘Whitechapel’ chip turns out to be true! The Pixel 6 series will be the first two devices to feature the new Google Tensor.
The highlight of the new processor is that it can process Google’s most powerful AI and ML models. It promises to deliver transformed experience for the camera, speech recognition and many other Pixel 6 features.
Design
The Pixel 6 series takes on a unique dual tone design with a horizontal camera bar across the back panel (similar to the Nexus 6P). Both the devices share almost identical designs with slight differences in size and finishing.
Overall, we really like the design and it seems to be themed according to the upcoming Android 12 Material You release.

Camera
The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro both shares the same primary and ultrawide cameras. However, the 6 Pro will come with an additional telephoto camera with 4x optical zoom.
As for the selfie camera, it’ll feature a 12MP punch-hole camera that sits right in the middle of the top frame.
According to a video by Marques Brownlee, the new camera set will feature a bigger and better set of sensors.
