Google to Bring Pixel 10 Foldable to Malaysia for the First Time
Google has made a landmark move by bringing its book-style foldable to Malaysia for the first time. For context, last year’s Pixel 9 series was the first batch of Google phones officially sold here. However, the foldable model was notably left out.
Today, Google has confirmed that its latest Pixel 10 Pro Fold will indeed be launched in Malaysia in October. Its arrival will intensify the foldable competition in the country, with rivals such as the Galaxy Z Fold7, Magic V5, and X Fold5 already unveiling their contenders for the year.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold will feature a 6.4″ outer display with a 1080×2364 resolution. Its adaptive refresh rate ranges from 60Hz to 120Hz and maintains a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. These are protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. When unfolded, the phone reveals an 8″ OLED display with a greater adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz, while still maintaining the same peak brightness of 3,000 nits. For protection, it uses a layer of Ultra Thin Glass (UTG).
In terms of dimensions, this is perhaps the heaviest and thickest foldable device released so far in 2025. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold weighs 258g, with a folded depth of 10.8mm and an unfolded depth of 5.2mm. In comparison, the Magic V5 weighs 217g and has a 4.2mm unfolded form.
Performance-wise, the foldable will retain the Tensor G5 chip used in its non-foldable Pixel 10 counterparts. It will also feature a triple-camera array consisting of a 48MP wide camera, a 10MP OIS telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, and a 10MP ultra-wide camera. For selfies, it includes a 10MP front camera and a 10MP inner camera.
According to Google’s official online store, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be available at selected authorized retailers in October, starting at RM7,999. The website currently lists only one color, which is Moonstone.
