Galaxy Z Fold7 Leak Hints at Samsung’s Slimmest Foldable Yet

As Samsung gears up for its annual Galaxy Unpacked event on 9 July, leaks surrounding the next-generation Galaxy Z Fold7 have begun to surface, giving fans an early glimpse of what to expect. The most recent and notable leak comes from leakster Evan Blass (@evleaks), who shared what appear to be official renders of the device on his X account.

The standout detail from the leak is the Z Fold7’s slim profile. Based on the images and accompanying rumours, Samsung’s upcoming book-style foldable is expected to be the thinnest the company has ever released. When folded, it is said to measure 8.9mm thick, and just 3.9mm when unfolded. For comparison, last year’s Galaxy Z Fold6 was noticeably bulkier, measuring 12.1mm when folded and 5.6mm when unfolded.

The Z Fold7 also appears to shed some weight. At a rumoured 215 grams, the new model would be significantly lighter than its predecessor, which came in at 239 grams. The leaked images also suggest the Z Fold7 will be available in three colour options: Jet Black, Silver Shadow, and Blue Shadow.
Separately, Samsung has hinted at offering an “Ultra” experience with its new foldable lineup. However, it remains unclear whether this refers to a new Galaxy Z Fold Ultra model or enhancements brought to the standard Z Fold7.
