The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 lineup will feature three models: the vanilla Galaxy Tab S8, a Tab S8+, the high-end Tab S8 Ultra.

There’s been some leaks of a potential S8 FE model to the Galaxy Tab S8 line. Although not much is known about the model, leakers have stated that it will have an LCD panel and both Wi-Fi only and 5G variants.

The Tab S8, S8+, and S8 Ultra was officially announced alongside the Galaxy S22 series. These two series will debut at the Samsung Unpacked 2022 event on 8 February. Meanwhile, the rumored Tab S8 FE is expected to arrive around Q3 or Q4 of 2022.

Design and Display

The vanilla model boasts an 11″ LCD, while the S8+ has a 12.4″ AMOLED display. Meanwhile, the S8 Ultra features a massive 14.6″ AMOLED panel.

All models sport a buttery smooth 120Hz refresh rate. As for the fingerprint sensors, the vanilla model maintains a side-mounted sensor while the S8+ and Ultra both feature an under-display optical sensor.

Overall, the design and colour options are for the most part identical to the Tab S7, leaving most of its improvements to its hardware and software.

Battery Life

In terms of battery, the Galaxy Tab S8 and Tab S8 Plus’s battery capacities will remain unchanged from the Tab S7 range.

This means that the vanilla variant will have an 8,000mAh battery, while the Plus model will pack a 10,090mAh battery. As for the Tab S8 Ultra, it houses a whopping 11,200 mAh battery!
