ESL brings Dota 2 tournament in Kuala Lumpur with RM4.6 million prize pool

ESL One Dota 2 tournament is back, and this time it’s coming to Kuala Lumpur.

A total of twelve Dota 2 teams will fight it out to compete for a prize pool of RM4.6 million ($1 million).

The tournament begins with the group stages taking place from December 11 – 13. Two groups of 6 teams will compete in a round robin format, in which the top 6 will proceed to the live playoffs from December 15 – 17 at the Malaysian International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).

The official group placements have not yet been announced.

Malaysia last hosted the ESL Dota 2 tournament in 2022, which took place in Genting Highlands, Pahang.

Tickets are currently on sale at the ESL One official website. Audience may decide on three ticket tiers:

  • Regular 3-day ticket (tiered seating) – RM149
  • Plus 3-day ticket (infield searing) – RM299
  • Premium 3-day ticket (in front of stage) – RM499
