Electrolux to provide support for families impacted by Putra Heights gas pipeline incident

Electrolux Malaysia has launched an initiative to support families impacted by the recent gas pipeline incident in Putra Heights. The company announced via its official social platforms that it will offer special care initiatives to those impacted, including:
- Complimentary warranty claims and repairs
- Discounted rates for out-of-warranty repairs with up to 50% off on replacement Electrolux parts (subject to availability)
- Repurchase options for products beyond repair, with up to 50% off the recommended retail price (RRP)

To jog your memory, a massive explosion involving a gas pipeline took place in the morning of 1 April 2025, producing flames as high as 30 metres. Though no deaths were reported, several houses in the nearby residential area were affected to varying degrees by the intense heat, with 81 houses completely destroyed (structural damage exceeding 40%).
