DJI Action 2 – Everything you need to know
DJI released its latest DJI ACTION 2, a follow-up to its Osmo Action camera. The ACTION 2 comes in a completely new design that seems to be inspired by the Insta360 ONE R and GoPro Hero Session.
Aside from dropping ‘Osmo’ from its name, The Action 2 also cuts over half its weight and focuses on modularity with a suite of additional parts and accessories that attach to the camera magnetically.
DJI Action 2 Specifications
On its own, the DJI Action 2 is a compact – 39mm square and 22mm deep action camera that is capable of capturing 4K videos with its 12MP sensor, a lens that provides a 155-degree field of view, and a 1.76-inch OLED touchscreen covered by Gorilla Glass.
Using magnets, users can attach front touchscreen module or power module for extra battery, storage and added functionalities.

Based on the overall specifications and reviews, the DJI Action 2 really only falls short to its biggest competitor – GoPro Hero 10 in the still photos department and hi-res videography.
The DJI Action 2 is only able to capture up to 12MP photos and 4K videos while the GoPro Hero 10 is able to capture up to 23MP photos and 5.3K videos.
Depending on your use case, the differences in capture quality may not really matter to you as the DJI Action 2 is still more than capable of capturing stunning photos and videos.
