Did you know it is possible to withdraw cash without your ATM card?

Talking about learning new things every day, today, we learn that it is possible to withdraw cash from an ATM machine without an ATM card.

This is perfect for those who frequently forgets to bring his/her wallet along or those who are holding on to a faulty debit card.

What you’ll need are a smartphone and the Maybank2u app. Of course, you’ll also need access to the internet to process the transaction.

Do note that the process is rather lengthy and it’ll only be a preferred method in the event of an emergency. Also, Maybank is the only bank with this service which was launched back in 2014.

How to Send Cashless ATM Withdrawal?

1. Login to your Maybank2u App

2. Go to Mobile and select Cardless ATM Withdrawal

3. Select an account to transfer from

4. Enter mobile number and recipient name

5. Select an amount; RM 100, RM 200 or RM 300

6. Confirm transfer details.

7. Request and enter TAC for new recipient.

8. Provide Withdrawal Code to the recipient for collection.

How to Receive Cashless ATM Withdrawal

1. Request the Withdrawal Code from sender.

2. Go to any Maybank ATM and select Cardless Withdrawal service.

3. Enter Transaction ID sent via SMS and Withdrawal Code.

4. Collect your cash

There you have it! With these simple steps, you’ll be able to withdraw cash from a nearby Maybank ATM machine.
