After much teasers in the run-up to the launch, many questions have now been answered. First up, the unorthodox screws in the rear panels are indeed for the interchangeable back covers. Users can conveniently swap between black, orange, light green, or blue cases simply by undoing the four screws.

According to CMF, the black and light green cases feature a unique texture, while the blue and orange are layered with vegan leather. Regardless of the colour, each additional case will cost RM99.

Secondly, the dial attachment at the bottom right of the phone is what CMF calls a functional accessory point. Here’s where you can attach either a stand or lanyard, depending on what you’re using the phone for. You can also magnetically snap on a card case to the rear panels of the CMF Phone 1. These accessories do not come out of the box, and will cost you RM59 each.

As for specs, the CMF Phone 1 is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 5G processor. The phone ships with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, although RAM can be boosted an additional 8GB via RAM booster, and storage is expandable up to 2TB via microSD. You’ll have the benefit of Nothing OS 2.6. out of the box, which is the same operating system you’ll find on Nothing phones as well.

It sports a 6.67″ Super AMOLED display with full HD (1080×2400) resolution, 120Hz refresh rates, and 2,000nits peak brightness.

The CMF Phone 1 has a dual camera setup, with the highlight being its 50MP Sony main camera. At the front, on the other hand, is a 16MP selfie shooter.

Keeping things running is a 5,000mAh battery offering 33W wired charging. For connectivity, it is able to supports up to Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3

And, it is IP52-rated for water and dust resistance.
