CMF introduces Buds Pro 2 and Watch Pro 2; Available 15 July in Malaysia
Alongside the launch of its first ever smartphone – the CMF Phone 1 -, CMF has also introduced its line of second generation wearable products: the CMF Buds Pro 2 and CMF Watch Pro 2.
Slated to arrive in Malaysia on July 15, the Buds Pro 2 and Watch Pro 2 will be available for purchase on CMF’s official online platforms on Shopee and Lazada, as well as authorized dealers such as Urban Republic, DirectD, and SS Solution.
The CMF Buds Pro 2 will be priced at RM299 when it eventually hits our shores. Unlike most other buds in the market, the charging case of the Buds Pro 2 is, well, more than just a charging case. It features a customisable smart dial which you can use to control specific functions of the earbuds itself.
Rotating it will control the volume, while single or double pressing the dial can be used to toggle noise cancellation mode, play/pause functions, mute/unmute the microphone, or hang up calls. The controls are customisable via the Nothing X app, which will also give you access to more settings such as bass levels.
As for the buds itself, CMF says it features 11mm custom dual drivers each dedicated to both low and high frequencies. It features Hi-Res Audio an Spatial Audio effects, along with Ultra Bass Technology 2.0 to enhance sound quality.
The buds itself packs 60mAh battery, which CMF says offers up to 11 hours of playback time with ANC off, and 6.5 hours with ANC on.
Although there’s no official rating for the case, the buds are IP55-rated for dust and water resistance.
Moving on to the CMF Watch Pro 2, this will retail at RM339 in Malaysia. Now with circular bezels and a rotatable crown, it takes a drastic turn from last year’s Watch Pro which at the time sported a square form factor with a singular power button.
Like the Phone 1, CMF has also brought over the benefit interchangeability with its bezels. You’ll be able to swap between flat round bezels or curved round bezels depending on your tastes. Straps too can be swapped, with CMF offering straps in liquid silicone and leather.
For displays, the Watch Pro 2 is fitted with a 1.32″ AMOLED display with 60fps and 620nits brightness.
To complement the 120 sports mode available, the smart watch also has a built-in GPS system to track your routes. The Watch Pro 2 is IP68-rated for water and dust resistance, which means it should survive heavy splashes and rainfall.
Keeping the smart watch running is a 305mAh battery which CMF claims will be able to run for 11 days of typical usage.
