Thank you for your continued support of our products.
From the end of June 2025, a number of SNK titles will be leaving Google Play. The development and operations teams would like to thank users all…
Among the affected fighting games are Fatal Fury Special, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, The King of Fighters ’97, The King of Fighters ’98, and Samurai Shodown 2. Additionally, arcade shooters and platformers such as Blazing Star, Metal Slug, Metal Slug 2, and Metal Slug X will also be removed.
Once delisted, existing users will retain access to the games on their devices. However, SNK has warned that users will be unable to reinstall the titles or download them onto new devices after removal. Deleting the apps could result in permanent loss of access.
While no official reason was provided for the removals, SNK previously cited optimization issues when Metal Slug 3 was delisted earlier in the month. The current delistings only apply to the Google Play Store, and there is no indication yet of similar plans for Apple’s App Store.
In the meantime, SNK continues development on Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, with Andy Bogard recently added to the roster. Additionally, Street Fighter‘s Ken Masters will be playable early during Evo 2025.
