After MobileSHIELD, CelcomDigi Launches WebSHIELD for Internet Safety
CelcomDigi has introduced WebSHIELD, a network-based security service aimed at protecting users from online threats while browsing on its mobile network. This follows the launch of MobileSHIELD, the telco’s app-based security tool, less than a month ago.
WebSHIELD does not require users to install any apps or make manual configurations. Once activated, it works in the background to block phishing attempts, access to fake websites, and harmful downloads. The service is powered by Cisco’s global threat intelligence, allowing it to detect both known and emerging threats, including malware and ransomware.
CelcomDigi says that both WebSHIELD and MobileSHIELD services are designed to complement each other, offering broader protection for users on its mobile network.
WebSHIELD is available for subscription through the Celcom Life and MyDigi apps. Customers who subscribe between 21 August and 20 November 2025 will be charged RM1 per month during the promotional period. After that, the service will be priced at RM3 per month.
If you’re interested, MobileSHIELD is available at RM10 per month, or RM4 per month with a 12-month contract.
