Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Series has officially touched down with the flagships now available for pre-orders here in Malaysia. You can see our rundown of the series here, or explore exclusive promotions lined up especially for CIMB card holders.

With pre-orders now in full swing, telcos are offering the Galaxy S25 Series paired with exciting postpaid packages. CelcomDigi, in particular, has packages worth considering.

The telco is offering the Galaxy S25 Series through its Easy360 installment plans, paired with eligible CelcomDigi Postpaid plans. With Easy360, customers can enjoy flexible payment options of up to 36 months with 0% interest and RM0 upfront payments.

The Easy360 plans for the Galaxy S25 Series can be paired starting with the Postpaid 5G 100 plan, where payments are as low as RM83/month for the Galaxy S25 (256GB) model. This would ultimately save you RM1,011 on your new smartphone. To maximize savings, pairing the device with the Postpaid 5G 160 plan means you only need to pay RM56/month for your Samsung S25 5G (256GB). This, of course, is not inclusive of the postpaid plan on top of your final bill.

Beyond the individual postpaid plans, those who opt to pair the new device with CelcomDigi’s One Pro or One Ultra family plan can enjoy monthly installments as low as RM36/month.

To sweeten the deal further, CelcomDigi is throwing in a free pair of Galaxy Buds 3 (SRP: RM549) if you pre-order any of the Galaxy S25 Series model before 5 February 2025. Do note, however, that this is available only for CelcomDigi Postpaid 5G 120 and above, and the One Ultra all-in-one family plan.

For more information, visit CelcomDigi’s official page and check out the full price list for all available devices eligible for the Easy360 payment plans.

Here’s a rundown of the Galaxy S25 Series in Malaysia

By Timothy Teoh January 23, 2025

Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event saw the arrival of the flagship Galaxy S25 Series, namely the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra.

This year’s iteration sports minimal hardware changes compared to its predecessors, with Samsung banking more on Galaxy AI to lead their innovations. However, unlike last year where the base and plus models utilized Exynos chips, all models of the Galaxy S25 Series are powered with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset this time around.

The Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ maintains the familiar form factor as their predecessors. The Galaxy S25 sports a 6.2″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display offering Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The larger S25+, on the other hand, keeps to a 6.7″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 120Hz refresh rate and Quad HD+ resolution. It is also protected with Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Batteries for both devices remain the exact same as last year, that is a 4,000mAh battery on the S25, and 4,900mAh on the S25+. They support 25W and 45W charging respectively.

Both phones also retain the same camera array consisting of a 50MP main camera, a 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and 12MP ultra-wide. At the front, there’s a 12MP selfie shooter.

As far as aesthetics go, the Galaxy S25 Ultra sports the most obvious design change, even then it’s pretty minimal. Essentially, they’ve moved away from sharp edges to more rounded corners.

Other than that, the display maintains a 6.9″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with Quad HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung has also introduced the new Gorilla Glass Armor 2 for protection.

As for the camera setup, Samsung has improved the ultra-wide camera to a 50MP lens, upped from the 10MP of the S24 Ultra. Everything else remains largely unchanged with the S25 Ultra relying on a 200MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom, and a secondary 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom.

The same can be said about the batteries, which keeps to a 5,000mAh capacity supporting 45W wired charging.

    Galaxy AI

Samsung is doubling down on Galaxy AI this year with the promise of a more contextual and multi-modal use of AI.

You can now talk to your Galaxy phone now and integrate third-party apps into your command, all under one instruction.

The upgraded Circle to Search now also recognizes phone numbers, email, and URL accompanied by actionable steps immediately (eg. to call, email. or visit a link).

There’s also little additions here and there, such as the Now Brief feature that gives you a rundown of your day, the Audio Eraser to remove unwanted noise, and AI Select for suggestions on which AI feature to use base on what’s on your screen.

Other than that, Samsung also promises 7 years of OS updates and 7 years of security updates for the Galaxy S25 Series.
