Px8 S2 Now Available in Malaysia as Bowers & Wilkins Redefines Its Flagship Headphones
British audio brand Bowers & Wilkins has introduced the Px8 S2, its latest flagship wireless headphones, in Malaysia. The new model builds on the foundation set by the Px7 S3, with a focus on both design refinement and audio performance improvements.
The Px8 S2 features a slimmer profile and comes with a more compact carry case for portability. It uses ultra-soft Nappa leather for the headband and earcups, while lightweight aluminium arms with exposed cable detailing give it a more polished aesthetic.
Inside, the Px8 S2 is equipped with 40mm Carbon Cone drive units, designed to reduce distortion and preserve audio clarity. The headphones incorporate a redesigned internal structure, including updated chassis, voice coil, suspension system, and magnet, all powered by a dedicated amplifier. According to the brand, these changes contribute to its most accurate and immersive sound experience to date, staying true to the artist’s original intent.
The headphones support aptX Adaptive 24-bit/96kHz audio and Qualcomm’s aptX Lossless technology for high-resolution wireless playback. To ensure clear voice pickup and effective noise cancellation, the Px8 S2 uses eight strategically placed high-performance microphones around each earcup.
Battery life is rated at 30 hours with active noise cancellation enabled, while a quick 15-minute charge provides up to seven hours of use. Users can fine-tune their listening experience using the Bowers & Wilkins Music app, which allows for adjustments to noise cancelling transparency, EQ settings, wear sensor sensitivity, and access to the True Sound mode.
Additional features like spatial audio support and Bluetooth LE Audio with Auracast broadcast functionality are expected to arrive through software updates later in the year.
The Bowers & Wilkins Px8 S2 is priced at RM3,299 and available now in Malaysia. It comes in two colour options—Onyx Black and Warm Stone—and can be purchased through tcacoustic.asia, the Sonos Concept Store at Starhill, the Bowers & Wilkins Official Store on Lazada, as well as selected retailers including Thundermatch, Flash Gadget, and PC Image.
