Bluesky launches Attie, a new AI assistant that can customise your social feed

By Raymond Saw March 30, 2026

Bluesky, the alternative social media platform rivalling the likes of X (formerly known as Twitter) has a new app. It’s not another social media app though; instead, it’s what they call an ‘agentic social app’ that will let users build and customise their own social feeds based on their interests.

Revealed by Bluesky’s former CEO and current CIO Jay Graber, this new AI assistant app is called Attie, named after Bluesky’s underlying AT protocol. It lets you create custom social feeds using natural language. This means that you can simply ask it to show you things like ‘Poetry, long-form fiction craft, and writing process from people I follow’ and it will highlight all of the relevant posts that you may be interested in.

Attie will be its own standalone platform and app for now, but Bluesky does have plans to integrate them into Bluesky and other apps using the AT Protocol. Further down the line, Graber imagines that anyone can use it to build whatever software they can think of via vibe-coding, as thanks to agentic coding tools it’s no longer restricted to just anyone with coding experience.

“Attie is an agentic social app and custom feed builder. It feels more like having a conversation than configuring software. You describe the sort of posts you want to see, and the coding agent builds the feed you described,” – Jay Graber, Bluesky Chief Innovation Officer

At time of writing, Attie remains in closed beta, but you can sign up for the waiting list by clicking here to go to its website.
