BEST Express to expand smart sorting systems, unify express and cargo services in 2026

BEST Express Malaysia, one of the country’s leading logistics service provider, has announced plans to significantly upgrade its logistics infrastructure in 2026 with the expansion of its smart sorting chain solutions across its nationwide hub network. The move is aimed at improving operational efficiency, parcel handling accuracy, and scalability as shipment volumes continue to grow.
A key part of BEST Express’s plans is the Dimensioning, Weighing, and Scanning (DWS) system. This DWS system combines automation, intelligent scanning and data-driven sorting technologies into one system. According to the company, the DWS system will then be able to help speed up parcel processing while maintaining high service reliability for both B2C and B2B customers.
In addition to the DWS rollout, BEST Express Malaysia also revealed that it will consolidate its express and cargo services under a single unified BEST Express brand starting in early 2026. This integration will place lightweight parcel deliveries and bulk cargo shipments under one operational and branding framework.
The company says the unified approach is expected to streamline internal processes, optimise resource utilisation and offer customers a more comprehensive end-to-end logistics solution. Customers can also expect clearer service offerings, standardised service quality and improved coordination across BEST Express Malaysia’s delivery network.
