Features and Sensors

The true test of fitness trackers lies in its functionality, so let’s look at what the two bands can offer.

HUAWEI Band 7

The HUAWEI Band 7 will reap the good bits of its Tru Series Technologies.

TruSeen 4.0 will measure both your oxygen saturation (SpO2) and heart rate automatically. Moreover, it will even alert you if either of these readings reach unhealthy levels. A doctor’s opinion is always the primary solution when it comes to health, but this feature adds a layer of precaution that might prove useful. Make sure to also make use of TruRelax to monitor your stress levels and perform calming breathing exercises.

TruSleep 2.0 can now identify six major sleep-related issues, and offer up to 200 science-based suggestions. Go in-depth to your sleeping patterns by tracking your deep sleep, REM sleep, and light sleep and see how you perform when you’re on the zzz’s.

Not only that, TruSport now gives you 96 workout modes for you to choose from. Track your VO2 Max, recovery time, and benefit from data-driven tips to maximize your training and reach optimal fitness!

Xiaomi Smart Band 7

Put the HUAWEI Band 7 side-by-side with the Xiaomi Smart Band 7 and you’ll see largely the same features.

The Xiaomi Smart Band 7 also tracks your heart rate and your blood oxygen levels, alerting its users whenever the readings show a cause for alarm.

Here’s where Xiaomi takes the edge over its HUAWEI counterpart. Xiaomi’s Smart Band 7 offers 110 sports modes to accurately tailor to your routine, compared to the 96 modes on the HUAWEI Band 7. Besides that, you will also be able to track your maximal oxygen uptake (VO2 Max), as well as attain readings for Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC) so you can determine your limits and adjust your training load. Adding to this is the ability to track Aerobic and Anaerobic exercises.

In addition, sleep tracking is also available on the Xiaomi Smart Band 7 to track your quality of sleep.

Battery

If battery life is what you prioritize, you won’t find much difference between the two. The HUAWEI Band 7 offers 2-week battery life in typical usage, and 10 days of heavy usage.

the HUAWEI Band 7 can last for up to 2 weeks
Battery life for the HUAWEI Band 7 reaches up to 14 days in typical usage mode, and 9 days in heavy usage mode.

At the end of the day, it all comes down to personal preference and individual usage.
