ATLAS by Bank Muamalat: Malaysia’s First Islamic Digital-Only Bank Now Live
Bank Muamalat has officially introduced ATLAS, Malaysia’s first Islamic digital-only bank designed to align with the faith and lifestyle needs of its users.
ATLAS operates fully online and is built on Backbase’s AI-powered Banking Platform, a technology solution developed by the global financial software company Backbase. Through this platform, ATLAS offers a personalised and seamless banking experience, integrating features such as DuitNow for payments, Shariah-compliant financial products, and digital servicing capabilities.
Beyond basic banking services, ATLAS has outlined plans to expand its offerings over the coming months. Upcoming features include digital debit and credit cards, flexible personal financing options, and a Shariah-compliant gold investment account. ATLAS also features a lifestyle-oriented rewards program that connects users with exclusive benefits through curated brand partnerships.
