ASUS expands productivity ExpertBook Series with B9 OLED and B6 Flip

ASUS has expanded its ExpertBook line with two new additions to the series: the ExpertBook B9 OLED (B9403) and ExpertBook B6 Flip (B6602F).

Both models are now available in Malaysia, with the B9 OLED retailing at RM8,999 and the B6 Flip at RM11,999. Interested customers can make their purchase at selected ASUS retailers.

ASUS ExpertBook B9 OLED (B9403)

The ExpertBook B9 OLED is a business laptop that boasts durability in its military-grade magnesium-lithium alloy material; and portability with a lightweight 990g.

It comes with a 13th Gen Intel Core i7 vPro processor, more specifically, the RM8,999 variant as mentioned above utilizes the i7-1355U processor, paired with an Intel Iris Xe graphic card. There is 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD to go with it.

The B9 OLED has a 14″ OLED display, promising vivid visuals and low blue-light emissions.

Conference calls are helped with AI-powered two-way noise cancelling technology which ensures clear voice transference on either side of the call.

There is a host of I/O ports available, including:

  • 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
  • 2 x Thunderbolt™ 4.0 Type-C
  • 1 x HDMI 2.1(TMDS)
  • 1 x 3.5 mm combo audio jack
  • 1 x Nano Kensington® lock slot
  • 1 x Mini HDMI to RJ45 adapter (included)

It also has a fingerprint sensor and an infrared (IR) camera for face login.

ASUS ExpertBook B6 Flip (B6602F)

The ExpertBook B6 Flip is an industry-specialized laptop designed for architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) services.

One of its primary feature is the 360° hinge which allows the 16″ screen to flip all the way to the back, affording the workstation added versatility.

ASUS says the B6 Flip processors maxes out at the 12th Gen Intel Core i9 HX. To be more specific, the RM11,999 variant is powered with the i7-12850HX vPro processor. To cater to the demands of the AEC industry, the B6 Flip relies on the NVIDIA RTX A2000 for graphics, which is utilized mostly on professional laptops.

This allows the ExpertBook to run popular Building Information Modelling (BIM) software such as Revit, 3dsMax, and Maya; as well as frequently-used industry software such as Adobe Premiere, Creo, and MicroStation, to name a few.

Coupled with strong processing performance are multiple layers of security features. This includes a self-encrypting TCG Opal SSD drive to prevent unauthorized data access, and a Smart Card reader which layers the login process with two-factor authentication with a recognized card and a password. It also has a TPM 2.0 chip to safeguard sensitive information.

The ExpertBook B6 Flip comes with a host of I/O ports:
