Tired of Netflix? Astro Offers Max at 50% Off and Prime Video Free with Selected Packages
Astro has announced an expansion of its streaming offerings by adding Max (formerly HBO Max) and Prime Video to its content platform.
From now until 30 June 2025, Astro customers can subscribe to Max at reduced rates with a 12-month commitment. Two subscription plans are available: the Max Standard Plan is priced at RM16.96 per month (down from the retail price of RM33.90), while the Max Ultimate Plan costs RM25.95 per month (down from RM52.90).
The subscription will renew automatically each year at the same promotional price unless cancelled. Customers should note that cancellations are subject to an early termination fee, equivalent to two months of Max’s standard subscription price.
In addition, Prime Video will be available at no extra cost for Astro Movies Bundle Pack and Astro One Epic Pack customers who are using the Ultra or Ulti Box, beginning today. Customers on the same packs but without Ultra or Ulti Box will receive access starting 24 June 2025. For Astro users not subscribed to either bundle, Prime Video can be added to their subscription for RM25 per month, inclusive of tax.
Astro has also announced the return of the HEROES (CH 100) pop-up channel, starting from 16 June 2025 at 11:30 AM. This temporary channel will be accessible for one month at no extra cost to all Astro customers. HEROES will feature over 100 titles across English, Malay, and Korean languages.
