Apple WWDC confirmed for 9 June 2025; Design overhaul and Apple Intelligence update expected

Apple has confirmed that it will host its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) from 9 to 13 June 2025. The event will be streamed online, and – as always – an exclusive in-person experience will be held at its Apple Park headquarters in Cupertino, California.
The WWDC will kick off with a major keynote event spotlighting Apple’s latest advancements in software. Based on numerous reports, Apple is set to announce a drastic design overhaul for its software, specifically for iOS 19 and iPadOS 19. This will likely include refreshed icons, menus, and buttons for a (hopefully) more aesthetic and functional look.
Aside from that, updates on macOS 16, watchOS 12, tvOS 19, and visionOS 3 are also expected.
Moreover, Apple is expected to dedicate part of its keynote to Apple Intelligence – perhaps to address certain issues behind its shortcomings and prime users for what’s to come next. For context, Apple unveiled Apple Intelligence at WWDC 24, promising a suite of AI-powered features alongside a context-aware and personalized Siri. While some features have already rolled out, others – such as the AI-enhanced Siri – have been delayed indefinitely.
Only time will tell what Apple has in store. Until then, it looks like we’ll have to wait for the official keynote on 9 June 2025.
