Apple Unveils iPad Air with M3 Chip

Apple has introduced the latest iPad Air, now powered by the M3 chip. The new tablet lineup offers improved performance and AI-driven features, with options in two display sizes.

The iPad Air now runs on Apple’s M3 chip, featuring an 8-core CPU and a 9-core GPU. According to Apple, the updated processor delivers nearly three times the performance of the M1-powered iPad Air and is up to 3.5 times faster than the iPad Air with the A14 Bionic chip. The integrated Neural Engine also enhances AI capabilities, allowing for up to 60% faster AI-based workloads.

The tablet is designed to support Apple Intelligence, Apple’s latest AI-powered tools. This includes the Clean Up tool for removing unwanted objects from images, natural language search in Photos, and Image Wand in the Notes app, which transforms rough sketches into detailed images. Users can also create custom emojis with Genmoji and access ChatGPT through Siri and Writing Tools.

The iPad Air is available in two sizes: 11 inches (2360×1640 resolution) and 13 inches (2732×2048 resolution). Both models feature a Liquid Retina display. Apple has also introduced a new Magic Keyboard for the iPad Air, which attaches magnetically. The tablet is compatible with the Apple Pencil Pro and the Apple Pencil (USB-C).

The iPad Air with M3 is available in four colours: Space Grey, Blue, Purple, and Starlight.

The 11-inch iPad Air with M3 starts at RM2,799, while the 13-inch model starts at RM3,699. The new Magic Keyboard is priced at RM1,299 for the 11-inch version and RM1,399 for the 13-inch version.
