Apple launches MacBook Air with M4 chip; Price starts at RM4,499

Apple has launched a refreshed lineup of the MacBook Air with the upgraded M4 chip. The chip promises enhanced performance with a 10-core CPU, along with up to 10 GPU cores. Additionally, the laptop features up to 32GB of unified memory.
According to Apple, the MacBook Air with the M4 chip performs 2x faster than the M1 model and a whopping 23x faster than the fastest Intel-based MacBook Air.

With the option of two display sizes – a 13-inch model and a 15-inch model, each with Liquid Retina displays – the Cupertino-based company is also introducing a new Sky Blue colour to the mix, joining the current Midnight, Starlight, and Silver options.
Apple claims the revamped MacBook Airs will last up to 18 hours of battery life. With Apple Intelligence central to the brand’s ecosystem, the laptops will feature AI-powered tools such as Writing Tools, Image Playground, and Genmoji, as well as an improved Siri.

Users who require extra screens will be happy to know that the laptop now supports up to two 6K external displays, allowing for seamless multi-display support.
For connectivity, the MacBook Air with the M4 chip supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
MacBook Air with M4 price in Malaysia

The Apple MacBook Air with M4 chip will be available in Malaysia soon. At the time of writing, the new MacBook Air is still unavailable for online purchase.
However, Apple Malaysia has confirmed that the 13-inch MacBook Air with the M4 chip will start at RM4,499 in Malaysia, while the 15-inch MacBook Air with the M4 chip will start at RM5,499.
