Anker Recalls Four Power Bank Models Over Battery Issues

By PriceShop News June 30, 2025

Anker has initiated a global voluntary recall for four of its portable power bank models following the discovery of a potential issue linked to lithium-ion battery cells from a single supplier. While the company states that the risk of malfunction is minimal, the recall is being carried out “out of an abundance of caution.”

  • Anker Power Bank (10K, 22.5W) — Model A1257
  • Anker Power Bank (20,000mAh, 22.5W, Built-In USB-C Cable) — Model A1647
  • Anker Zolo Power Bank (20K, 30W, Built-In USB-C and Lightning Cable) — Model A1681
  • Anker Zolo Power Bank (20K, 30W, Built-In USB-C Cable) — Model A1689

Customers can identify their device model number by checking the bottom or side of the power bank. If it matches one of the affected models, users are advised to verify the serial number or upload proof of purchase via the online recall form provided by Anker.

Upon confirmation that a unit is part of the recall, qualified users may opt to receive a replacement power bank or a gift card, which can be redeemed on the Anker official Shopee store.

Until users receive confirmation of eligibility, Anker strongly advises them to stop using the product immediately. Customers are also reminded not to dispose of the power bank until instructed to do so by Anker.
