Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2: Titanium smartwatch with 30-day battery lift, priced at RM2,399

Having kicked off the new year with the more mainstream Active Max, Amazfit are now kicking off Chinese New Year with the much more premium Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2. This is the successor to the original T-Rex Ultra from 2023 of course, with this heavy duty smartwatch now boasting longer battery life too.

The T-Rex Ultra 2 features a 1.5-inch AMOLED screen, with a layer of sapphire glass over it for scratch resistance. It also gets brighter now, with up to 3,000nits of peak brightness. The bezels and case back meanwhile are built out of Grade 5 titanium too.

You’ll be able to see that screen up to 30 days when using smartwatch mode, up from the 20 days of its predecessor. If you need GPS tracking, you’ll be able to have that on for over 50 hours too. There’s 64GB of storage as well for you to download your maps, music, podcasts and the like.

The T-Rex Ultra 2 is rated at 10 ATM for water resistance, enabling it to handle dives of up to 45 meters underwater, with a low-temperature mode that keeps it operating in conditions as cold as -30°C. It also includes an integrated dual-mode flashlight with adjustable brightness, offering a green light designed to minimize interference when using night vision goggles, as well as a Boost Mode for enhanced nighttime visibility.

In emergency situations, users can activate an SOS signal, and the watch is further equipped with a built-in microphone and speaker to support Bluetooth calling and audible notifications. GPS tracking is taken care of with via dual-band GPS and six satellite systems.

On top of the usual health and fitness tracking features like heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen measurement and stress tracking, there’s also over 180 sport modes and preloaded, full colour maps which you can use to plan your route offline up to 100km.

The T-Rex Ultra 2 is now available for purchase from the Amazfit Malaysia website as well as via their official stores on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok, priced at RM2,399. From now till 23 February, you can also get it for RM100 off, along with free gifts such as an Amazfit T-shirt, a tumbler bottle and an additional one-year warranty while stocks last.
