Amazfit Active Max: Brighter AMOLED display, longer battery life, from RM699

Amazfit has launched the Amazfit Active Max smartwatch in Malaysia. It brings with it a larger display and longer battery life, and is designed for not just athletes but anyone looking to up their wellness routine.
The Active Max features a 1.5-inch AMOLED display with a 480 x 480 display that is capable of up to 3,000 nits peak brightness, offering improved outdoor visibility compared to previous Active models. It supports 170+ sport modes, including an intelligent strength training mode that automatically tracks reps, sets, and rest periods.

Amazfit’s BioCharge energy score feature meanwhile will give you insights based on activity, workouts, and stress levels to help users manage training and recovery. Health tracking is handled by the BioTracker PPG sensor, with continuous monitoring of heart rate, SpO₂, stress, and sleep. It also comes with over 170 sport modes and an AI-powered Zepp Couch for guidance during training.
The watch itself comes with 4GB of internal storage, allowing offline podcast playback of up to 100 hours and support for downloadable maps, including coverage of over 2,000 ski resorts with contour details (though we’re not too sure if this includes Malaysia). Battery life is rated at up to 25 days, and the watch offers 5 ATM water resistance.

Smart features meanwhile include Bluetooth calling, speech-to-text replies on Android, Zepp Flow voice control, and syncing with the Zepp App for long-term health and fitness data.
The Amazfit Active Max will be available in Malaysia starting 10 January 2026 at a promotional price of RM699 via Amazfit’s official website and platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop. Early buyers will receive free gifts such as an Amazfit tumbler, Amazfit T-shirt and Amazfit x Hyrox Nasal Strip while stocks last. However, Amazfit did not mention what the standard recommended price of the Amazfit will be after the end of the promotional period.
