All-New 2026 Proton Saga Launch Date Set for End of November

Proton has confirmed that the all-new 2026 Proton Saga will make its official debut on 27th November, according to a livestream event listing published on the national automaker’s official Facebook page. The highly anticipated model, widely referred to as the Proton Saga MC3, is set to introduce major upgrades in design, performance, technology, and safety.
Proton Saga MC3 Launch

One of the biggest announcements expected at the launch is the model’s finalised price tag. Proton has earlier indicated that the new Saga will be tentatively priced between RM40,000 and RM50,000. For comparison, the current Proton Saga MC2 retails from RM34,800 to RM44,800, suggesting that the new MC3 could be priced slightly below the initial estimates once final pricing is confirmed.
To sweeten the deal, Proton is offering 1-year / 20,000km free service and a limited-edition Touch ‘n Go card for the first 20,000 customers who book and register their vehicles by 31 December 2025.
Consumer response has been overwhelmingly positive, with over 10,000 bookings recorded ahead of the launch. According to Proton Deputy CEO Ir. Abdul Rashid Musa, customer deliveries will commence immediately after the official unveiling.

Under the hood, the new Saga is powered by a 1.5L i-GT engine, the same unit used in the 2026 Proton X50 (minus the turbocharger). Key performance figures include:
- 118 hp (88 kW)
- 150 Nm torque
- 4-speed automatic for Standard & Executive variants
- CVT for the Premium variant
- Fuel consumption rated at 4.9L/100km (CVT)
The sedan also gains Electric Power Steering (EPS) and Proton’s signature ride and handling tuning for improved driving comfort and control.
AACP Support and Upgraded Infotainment

In line with Proton’s latest models, the new Saga now supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay (AACP), available via wired and wireless connections. The cabin also benefits from a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 9-inch central infotainment display.
With a revitalised design, more powerful engine, modern tech features, and enhanced safety systems, the 2026 Proton Saga MC3 is shaping up to be one of the most significant updates in the model’s history. All eyes will be on Proton’s official launch event on 27th November 2025, where the automaker is expected to reveal full specifications and final pricing.
