Meet the Action Camera as Small as Your Keychain
Fresh off the recent launch of its recent 360-degree camera, AKASO has now introduced the Keychain 2 — a compact action camera designed for everyday carry. Weighing just 86 grams, the Keychain 2 brings 4K video recording at 30 frames per second and can capture still photos at up to 20MP resolution. Despite its small footprint, it features a 1.3-inch touchscreen for live preview and settings adjustment.
The device is equipped with a 6-axis electronic image stabilisation system to help keep footage smooth during active movement such as running, cycling, or handheld recording. Creative users can make use of multiple video modes including time lapse, super time lapse, hyperlapse, slow motion, and a dedicated driving mode. Photo features include burst mode, time-lapse photos, and light painting.
Battery life is handled by a 1,050mAh unit, with up to 180 minutes of runtime when recording at 1080p. The camera is IPX6-rated for splash and rain resistance, though it can be paired with a dedicated waterproof housing for underwater use up to 30 metres.
For audio and storage, the Keychain 2 supports an external microphone via USB-C and accepts microSD cards up to 256GB. At this price point, its versatility and size position it as an option for casual vloggers, hobbyists, or even commuters looking to document daily routines without the bulk of a full-sized setup.
