AEON Bank introduces Shariah-compliant Personal Financing-i of up to RM10,000

AEON Bank, Malaysia’s first Islamic digital bank, has launched its Shariah-compliant personal financing scheme, Personal Financing-i. This allows users to apply for personal loans conveniently via the AEON Bank app.
According to the official webpage, Personal Financing-i offers loan applications ranging from RM1,000 to RM10,000, with a flexible instalment tenure of 3 to 24 months (2 years). Borrowers will be charged a flat profit rate of 6.88% per annum (p.a.).

Personal Financing-i is open to all Malaysian citizens aged between 18 to 55 years with a minimum monthly gross income of RM3,000. Gig workers and commission-based earners without a fixed monthly salary are also eligible to apply.
Salaried employees who wish to apply must provide their latest EPF (KWSP) Detailed Statement with a minimum of six months’ contributions.
Self-employed individuals or commission-based earners, on the other hand, must submit their latest six months’ bank statements.

Once the application is approved, users will receive a push notification on the app, after which they can accept or reject the loan. If accepted, AEON Bank will immediately disburse the loan amount directly into the user;s AEON Bank Savings Account-i.
