Acer unveils refreshed TravelMate Series with new AI integrations
Acer has unveiled its fresh line up of TravelMate laptops for the year, with the series now boasting AI integrations aimed at enhancing workflow and productivity.
The new lineup integrates Acer’s own TravelMate Sense application, which is essentially a command centre for users to manage AI and smart features, as well as monitor performance and battery status on the TravelMate laptop.
The TravelMate Series will also ride on Microsoft’s generative AI chatbot by incorporating dedicated Copilot keys into the keyboard.
TravelMate P6 14
Top of the tier is the TravelMate P6 14. The premium offering in the series is powered by the Intel Core Ultra 7 165H and Intel Arc Graphics, matched with either 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, or 32GB LPDDR5X RAM. Storage, on the other hand, is fixed with a 1TB SSD. The laptop supports the latest Wi-Fi 7, along with Bluetooth 5.3.
For displays, it sports a 14″ IPS panel with WUXGA (1920×1200) resolution. This comes with a choice of a touchscreen or non-touchscreen option.
The TravelMate P6 14 retails at a starting price of RM7,499 for the 16GB/1TB non touchscreen version, and RM7,999 for the 32GB/1TB touschreen model.
TravelMate P4 Series
Acting as the middle-ranger in the series, the TravelMate P4 Series comes in two form factors: the first, being a conventional clamshell laptop; and the second, a convertible model with a 180-degree hinge.
The P4 Series supports dual-channel DDR5 memory of up to 64GB, along with 1TB of SSD storage. However, there are models with lower configurations at a more affordable price point.
The non-convertible TravelMate P4 14 runs on the Intel Core 5 processor 120U, with a 14″ IPS display offering 2.2K (2240×1400) resolution. An 8GB DDR5/512GB model is now available at a price of RM4,799.
Whereas the convertible TravelMate P4 Spin 14, which runs on the Intel Core Ultra 7 155U, sports a 14″ IPS WUXGA (1920×1200) display, and paired with 16GB DDR5/512GB SSD configuration, is priced at RM6,199.
Acer TravelMate P2 Series
Lastly, the TravelMate P2 Series stands as the most cost-effective in the lineup. There’s an option of a 14-inch model, as well as a 16-inch model for those seeking larger displays.
The smaller TravelMate P2 14 sports WUXGA (1920×1200) resolution, and ships with 8GB DDR5 RAM and 512GB SSD out of the box. You can pair this with either an Intel Core 7 processor 150U, or an Intel Core processor 120U. Since the former is the more powerful processor, it costs more with a price of RM4,599, while the latter is approachable with a retail price of RM3,699.
On the other hand, the TravelMate P2 16 offers the same WUXGA (1920×1200) resolution on a larger 16-inch screen. For now, the model is powered by the Intel Core processor 120U, matched with 8GB DDR5 RAM and 512GB SSD storage; all at a price of RM3,999.
