Acer refreshes gaming monitor lineup with up to 500Hz OLED displays, from RM479
Acer Malaysia has announced that two new premium gaming monitors, the Predator X27UF5 and the Predator X34X5 are now available in Malaysia. Joining them are the Nitro KG3 series, which are more affordable gaming monitors built to bring high refresh rate gaming to the mainstream.
Predator X27UF5
Starting off with perhaps the best option here for competitive eSports gamers, the Predator X27UF5 features a 26.5-inch OLED panel with Dynamic Frequency and Resolution technology. This means that you can have it push a 1440p resolution at 60Hz for higher detail gaming, or switch it to 1080p mode for an ultra fast 500Hz refresh rate.
The panel itself is capable of 1000nits of peak brightness, a 0.03ms response time, 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut with a Delta E<2 and comes with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro certifications too.
Other features of note include two HDMI 2.1 ports, two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, a USB-C output with 65W of power delivery, 10W stereo speakers, BlueLightShield Pro to help reduce eyestrain as well as tile, swivel and height adjustments thanks to its Predator ErgoStand.
The Predator X27UF5 comes with a recommended retail price of RM2,899, but as part of its launch you can snag it for just RM2,599 with a free gaming mouse from the Acer Malaysia website and authorised retailers from now till 14 April.
Predator X34X5
If the X27UF5 is great for competitive gamers, the Predator X34X5 could be more up your alley if you prefer ultrawide layouts. It features a 34-inch OLED panel pushing a UWQHD 3440 x 1440p resolution in a 21:9 aspect ratio, with a 1800R curve to it.
The Predator X34X5 also comes with a 240Hz refresh rate and a 0.03ms response time, along with 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut with Delta E<1 colour accuracy. That’s on top of Nvidia G-Sync, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 support too.
As for I/O you get two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort and a USB-C output with 90W power delivery. Other features of note include a Predator ErgoStand and 10W stereo speakers.
The Predator X34X5 is priced at RM3,499, but from now till 14 April you can get it for just RM3,099 with a free Predator backpack on the Acer Malaysia website as well as from authorised Acer retailers nationwide.
Acer Nitro KG3 series
Lastly, we have the Acer Nitro KG3 series of gaming monitors. Available in 23.8-inch (KG243YUP1) and 27-inch (KG273UP1) options, they feature IPS panels pushing a 1440p resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. You’ll also find 1ms VRB response times, HDR10 and AMD FreeSync support as well as a contrast ratio of 100,000,000:1.
Other features of note include a tilt-adjustable stand, dual 2W speakers, HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4 ports along with a slim 7.2mm chassis.
The Nitro KG243YUP1 is already available for purchase priced at RM479, while the Nitro KG273YUP1 is available for pre-order at RM549. Getting either one from now till 14 April also nets you a complimentary Acer wireless mouse.
