2026 Proton Saga MC3 Now Open for Booking: Free Service Package Included
Proton has officially opened bookings for the highly anticipated 2026 Proton Saga MC3, marking a major milestone ahead of its full launch. The new-generation budget sedan is expected to be priced between RM40,000 and RM50,000, as revealed by Proton’s Deputy CEO Datuk Abdul Rashid Musa during a recent livestream.
Proton Saga MC3 Booking Opens with Early Bird Perks
Customers can now reserve their unit of the Saga MC3, with Proton offering an exclusive early bird launch package. This includes one year of free service (or up to 20,000 km, covering parts and labour) and a limited-edition Saga Touch ‘n Go card. The offer is valid for bookings made before the official launch date and requires registration before the end of the year. Only 20,000 units are eligible for this promotion.
New Engine, Platform, and Features for 2026 Saga MC3
The 2026 Saga MC3 introduces a new naturally aspirated 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine producing 120 PS and 150 Nm of torque. This engine is a non-direct injection version of the X50 facelift’s powerplant. The model will be available in three variants: Standard, Executive, and Premium.
Transmission options include a 4-speed automatic (4AT) and a continuously variable transmission (CVT) exclusive to the Premium variant. The car also rides on a re-engineered AMA platform, which has earned a four-star ASEAN NCAP safety rating.
Visually, the Saga MC3 gets a refreshed front and rear design featuring LED lighting. Inside, the dashboard has been redesigned to include two digital displays housed in a single wide frame, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Safety features vary by variant, with the Premium model offering up to six airbags and Level 1 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) powered by a monocular camera. The Standard and Executive variants come with two airbags and no ADAS.
